News Notes

Traffic

A new diverging diamond interchange on Donelson Pike over I-40 near BNA opened this week. Drivers on I-40 East will now use Exit 216A for the airport and Exit 216B for Donelson Pike. Expect intermittent lane closures as road work in the area continues. (WZTV)

Stat

As of May, the median rent for a Nashville-area apartment dropped to $1,540 — a 3.4% decrease from the year before, according to Redfin. Nashville is one of 28 metros in the report to see a year-over-year decline in apartment rent. (Nashville Business Journal)

Coming Soon

Construction is underway on Lost and Found, an open-air food and entertainment development in East Nashville, and now we know one of the future tenants. Cousin Wolf will offer specialty coffee, bagels, and other breakfast fare.

Dog grooming brand Scenthound plans to open in East Nashville on Monday, June 23, at 823-B Woodland St. It’s the first of three new locations coming to the area, with Melrose and Brentwood openings planned for later this year.

Select downtown streets will go car-free from 12 to 5 p.m. every third Sunday for Walk Bike Nashville’s Open Streets Summer Series. The five-mile loop winds through the Gulch and Rolling Mill Hill and runs along the Cumberland River.
