News Notes

Open

East Nashville has a new spot for coffee and everyday goods. The Den, now open next to Bill’s Sandwich Palace, offers drinks and pastries, as well as a selection of home goods, pantry items, and gifts. See inside.

Number

$26 million. That’s the price to buy a 0.17-acre parking lot in SoBro. It’s part of a three-parcel site previously offered together but now listed individually after failing to sell via bidding. The listing tops last summer’s $16.25 million sale of a nearby Broadway lot. (Nashville Post)

Closing

The Honeysuckle is closing after 10 years. Its last day of service will be tomorrow, May 24. Located in Franklin off Galleria Boulevard, the restaurant’s hospitality group plans to reopen the space soon with a new “family centric” concept. (Nashville Business Journal)

Show

As you wish, Nashville. “The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes” is coming to TPAC on Saturday, Sept. 20. Watch the 1987 fairy tale adventure on the big screen, followed by behind-the-scenes stories from Elwes, who played Westley. Tickets start at $36.
The All-American Rejects surprised Nashville with a pop-up show earlier this week. After teasing the location on TikTok, over 16,000 RSVPs flooded in and hundreds of fans packed into an East Nashville backyard. The band is going viral for a string of house shows across the country.
