Just shy of a month after demolition began on the former Belle Meade Plaza, AJ Capital Partners is breaking down plans for a portion of the 780,000-sqft Belle Meade Village development.

New renderings and details focus on two buildings comprised of 80 for-sale units and over 16,000 sqft of amenities that will make up The Residences at Belle Meade Village. This contributes to larger plans for 388 residential spaces and 78 hotel rooms.

Throughout the eight-floor buildings, residents will have access to curated features:
  • Lifestyle | Pool with private cabanas, 5-acre park, and golf simulator
  • Specialty rooms | Library, piano, Mahjong, screening/listening, and whiskey/cigar rooms
  • Wellness | Gym, Pilates studio, sauna, spa, cold plunge, salon, and private treatment rooms
The residential component is expected to be complete by late 2027, but tours begin this fall at the sales gallery — 4525 Harding Pk.

News Notes

Announced

Lineups for three area music events dropped yesterday. Headliners include Brittney Spencer and Sixpence None The Richer (Musicians Corner), Jake Owen and Wynonna Judd (CMA Fest’s Ascend Amphitheater), and John Mayer + Kings of Leon (Pilgrimage Music Festival).

Outdoors

Speaking of Musicians Corner, it was one of the features that helped secure Centennial Park’s No. 5 placement on USA Today’s 10Best awards. That’s in addition to the peacefulness of the sunken garden and bandshell performances.

Open

Tonight calls for Roberta’s Pizza with a view of The Arcade. Urban Cowboy Bar opened its newest location in a multi-level, 8,000-sqft space inside the downtown development today, April 17. Visit daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., with late-night hours until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Drink

Nashville earned its first pin of excellence on The Pinnacle Guide, a rating of cocktail bars across the US. East Nashville’s Tiger Bar was awarded this round for its environmental focus and opportunity to play games for prizes. Of course, that’s paired with an extravagant cocktail menu and on-theme decor.

Arts

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Haley Gallery will showcase its newest exhibition on Thursday, May 15, with an opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. “Frequency & Distortion” will feature sculptural elements alongside letterpress pieces by Chris Chandler and be on view through Friday, July 11.

Watch

Music City will have a major connection to this year’s Emmy Awards. Old Hickory’s Nate Bargatze will host the 77th annual event live from Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 14. Tune in to CBS or Paramount+ at 7 p.m. to watch. (Variety)

The race to get NightLight 615 tickets is on. The annual 21+ outdoor movie series that takes over Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park on select Thursdays and Fridays returns in May.

Due to upcoming construction at the park, the team has split this year’s lineup reveal into two parts; the second half will be announced at a later date.

Season tickets for Part 1 are on sale now, with individual tickets to go live at 7 p.m. today, April 17. The event is notorious for selling out each year, so map out which movies you want to see now:
  • May 29 | “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”
  • June 6 | “Wedding Crashers”
  • June 20 | “Mean Girls”
  • July 3 | “Top Gun: Maverick”
  • July 17 | “Pirates of the Caribbean”

The Buy

Really cute waterdrop earrings, with one pair of gold and one pair of silver for $12.99. The minimalist earrings hug ears + look heavy while feeling surprisingly lightweight.

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Skylar

I’ll allow the Nashville Zoo’s newest member to hog the spotlight today. Chive, a male red river hog piglet, was born on Tuesday, April 1. He marks the third to be born at the zoo, with the first litter arriving around this time last year. Chive can be seen at the HCA Healthcare Veterinary Center or on the live cam.
