Nashville SC tickets start at just $20, making it the most affordable professional sports ticket in our city. | Photos by NASHtoday
Hey, NASH. MLS season is in full swing, and Music City soccer is taking off. We recently attended a Nashville SC match at GEODIS Park — here are our pro tips for when you go.
Pre-match festivities
Wekickedthings off with a stop at the Fan Fest in Publix Plaza for vendors, activities + games fit for the whole fam.
Concessions GEODIS Park has 20+ concession options. We tried Daddy’s Dogs’ stadium-exclusive Nashville SC Dog, topped with cream cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and peaches. 10/10.
The match
We watched our boys in gold take on FC Cincinnati from the Supporters Section, right behind the goal. If you want a front-row seat to every pass, goal, and explosive celebration, this is the spot for you.
After a win, stick around for a post-match party outside of the Supporters Section.
The best part? There’s plenty of season left. Check out the schedule to experience an electric match day for yourself.
Tax Day, the final day to file a return with the IRS. If this sentence is making you sweat, there’s some relief. Due to the severe storms across the state this month, Tennessee residents now have until Monday, Nov. 3 to file.
Open
It’s time for your Mourning Brew — and we’re not talking about coffee. The new biz opened in Five Points’ Fatherland District over the weekend, selling its “spooky-inspired goods, curated for dark hearts.” Graphic tees, anyone?
Drink
The Hammonds Group is brewing up something beyond real estate. Morning Glory Cafe, inspired by CEO Corey Hammonds’ 5-year-old daughter, will open in the Buchanan Arts District at a to-be-announced date. Guests can expect handcrafted drinks, homemade treats, and “surprise menu picks.”
Sports
WWE’s SmackDown is entering the ring at Bridgestone Arena once again this summer. Reigning champion Cody Rhodes will be joined by Charlotte Flair, Randy Orton, The Street Profits, and more on Friday, July 11. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 25.
Transit
All aboard — NDOT and Nashville Connector are inviting the community to hop on the WeGo Star for a free ride as part of Transit Month on Friday, April 25. Depart at 4 p.m. from downtown’s Riverfront Station and gather at Party Fowl on Lebanon Pike for complimentary appetizers upon your arrival at Donelson Station.
Traffic
Phase 4 of East McEwen incoming. Officials will break ground on Friday, April 25 to widen and improve Franklin’s East McEwen Drive into a four-lane road with left-turn lanes, a sidewalk, and street lighting. The $45.8 million project is expected to take three years to complete.
Number
$1,300. That’s what you could spend on a brand new tablet, smart watch, and noise-canceling earbuds — or what you could spend overpaying for car insurance. If you like the former option, see what you could save by switching car insurance providers.*
