Gorge Overlook and Woodland Trails, Fall Creek Falls State Park
Just over two hours from Nashville is Tennessee’s largest and most visited state park at 26,000+ acres. This hike is primarily shaded for those hotter summer months, and the beginning of the trail offers a view of the creek.
River Trail to Ridgetop Trail, Burgess Falls State Park
The route combines the River Trail, Upper Trail, and Ridgetop Trail for the chance to see four waterfalls, the last of which descends over 130 ft into the gorge.
Busby and Machine Falls Loop, Short Springs State Natural Area
Venture through this Tullahoma forest, where you’ll see three waterfalls ranging from 20- to 60-ft.

AJ Capital Partners now has a demolition permit to clear all of the buildings on the Belle Meade Plaza site, and the Nashville Post reports demolition began Tuesday on the Kroger structure. The construction is to make way for Belle Meade Village, a development introduced in 2023 including residential and retail. (Nashville Post)

It’ll be easier to get your Ladybird Taco fix when the biz opens its third Nashville location inside the mixed-use development Gulch Union. A Metro permit doesn’t provide an opening timeline, but the expansion to 1206 Demonbreun St. joins existing restaurants in 12 South and East Nashville. (Nashville Business Journal)

The franchiser behind TruGolf Links is eyeing four to six area locations with a special interest in Mt. Juliet, Franklin, and Murfreesboro. Each will have a bar area, a pro shop, and five or more simulator bays with memberships and pay-by-the-session options. Site selection will begin within the next six months. Travel
Flair Airlines has discontinued its service between Nashville International Airport and Canada. The service, which first began in 2022 to Edmonton and Toronto, was the carrier’s only Tennessee route. (WKRN)

Construction on Murfreesboro’s In-N-Out Burger is underway. The chain will rise on Medical Center Parkway between Raising Cane’s and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Though a timeline can’t be predicted, COO Denny Warnick said the company usually begins accepting applications up to six weeks before locations open. (The Tennessean)
