Lipscomb men’s basketball earned a ticket to the NCAA Tournament over the weekend after a 76-65 win over North Alabama in the Atlantic Sun Conference. This is the No. 1-seeded Bisons’ second time in school history earning a bid to the Big Dance. Here’s the game recap.

Mayor Freddie O’Connell announced the 11 projects set to kick the Choose How You Move program into motion. Priority items funded by a sales tax surcharge and an under-review supplemental budget request include WeGo service expansion, 592 traffic signal upgrades, and a Murfreesboro Pike queue jump.

Equinox has chosen Paseo South Gulch for its first Tennessee location. The luxury gym will occupy ~34,000 sqft across three floors of the Voorhees building, bringing with it an array of group classes. No opening date has been released. (The Tennessean)

Germantown is getting a new cocktail bar this spring. Demure Cocktail Lounge will take the space formerly home to The Library Cafe and have a ‘60s feel, complete with wood paneling, warm lighting, and antique glassware. (Nashville Business Journal)

Former Tennessee Titan Eddie George is bidding farewell to Tennessee State University after four seasons leading the football program. He will be the head coach at Bowling Green University in Ohio. TSU athletics director Mikki Allen will fill in as he searches for a replacement. (The Tennessean)

The Tennessee Titans are making moves in the offseason, releasing their longest-tenured player Harold Landry III. In his seven years with the Titans, Landry recorded 50 sacks and made a Pro Bowl appearance in 2021. The team also signed linebacker Otis Reese IV and defensive lineman Keondre Coburn.
