Let us know what topics we should cover in the new year. | Photo by NASHtoday
Happy (almost) New Year, Nashville.
As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the stories we followed this year, as well as what could change in 2025.
That’s why we’re polling the crowd for questions you want answered in the new year — any piece of Nashville life you’ve always wanted to read into with your morning cup of coffee in hand.
Want to know where to get the best Caesar salad? What that construction site on your block is going to be? The history of a Nashville legend, or a piece of art you walk by every day?
Dream big, and tell us what’s in your heart of hearts, because the questions you asked us last year were some of our favorite topics to cover — like where to spot certain architectural styles, local arts and crafts classes, and the new Nissan Stadium under construction.
Submit your questions below to influence the stories you’ll read next year — it’s our New Year’s resolution to answer them.

🎄 The gift that keeps giving
NDOT is partnering with Living Earth to chip and compost donated trees into mulch. | Photo via NDOT
The holidays are all fun and games — but if you celebrate Christmas, you know that sooner or later, the tree in the corner will have to go.
It’s still a little early, but the Nashville Department of Transportation is already getting the word out about its tree recycling program. When the season winds down, you’ll be ready to put your old tree to good use.
Curbside pickup
Davidson County will recycle your tree for you. All you have to do is bring it out to the curb for your neighborhood’s brush and leaf collection day, just be sure to remove any tinsel or garland.
Drop-off recycling
Maybe you just can’t wait for curbside pickup. Take the tree to one of Metro’s 14 drop-off locations open Thursday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Feb. 14.
Ready to retire an artificial tree? They can only be taken to Metro’s convenience centers for disposal.
