The fourth annual celebration of Nashville’s food scene starts with Nashville Scene’s Hot Chicken Week, followed by chef collaborations throughout the month. Dine Nashville will come to a close with Restaurant Week beginning Monday, Feb. 24 — we’ll have more on that later.

Deb Paquette (etch) + Ryan Costanza (Present Tense) on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at etch for $130
Together with NBC’s “The Voice” alum Morgan Myles, Vivek Surti (Tailor) will serve a winter menu for the Songwriter Dinner at the restaurant on Thursday, Feb. 27 for $130-$150.

Denver-based Mexican taqueria Dos Santos will open its doors in Wedgewood-Houston (directly behind Diskin Cider) for the first time tomorrow, Dec. 13. Expect an open kitchen and bar layout accompanied by an outdoor patio. Explore the menu and get ready for rotating taco and cocktail of the month offerings.

Keith Urban, Kane Brown, and Jelly Roll — there’s more where that comes from. Nashville’s Big Bash is growing, with Shaboozey and Brittney Spencer joining the live show at Bicentennial. Additional performers will appear on the TV special, such as Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Miranda Lambert.
Concert
It’ll be a “Slow Burn” until we make it to opening night at The Pinnacle on Thursday, Feb. 27 — but we now know who will welcome Nashvillians to the new venue. Kacey Musgraves takes the stage following her latest stop at Bridgestone Arena earlier this month. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Dec. 13.

Albion is expanding its Nashville presence. Work has begun on the first of two planned towers on Music Row, with a topping out expected by the end of 2025. Take a look at renderings of the forthcoming 29-story structure, which will include amenities like an outdoor performance stage and rooftop pool with a DJ booth.
Traffic
Are you dining downtown for the holidays? Whatever your plans are, save some money while you’re at it. Metropolis is offering free parking in the Fifth + Broadway garage on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Plus, downtown workers can show proof of employment on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 26 for $5 parking all day.

Anchor down. Vanderbilt football’s Clark Lea was named the SEC Coach of the Year by the league’s coaches, while quarterback Diego Pavia received the first-ever SEC Newcomer of the Year award. As a reminder, you can catch the team playing in the Birmingham Bowl on Friday, Dec. 27.
