News Notes

Development
  • In the market for new digs? Condominium sales for The Emory, one of two Nashville Yards residential towers, are live. The building should be complete by year’s end with 2025 move-ins scheduled. There are 312 available units featuring 10-ft ceilings and custom closets. The Everett is also leasing.
Biz
  • Smoothie bowls and cold-pressed juices are on the way to Inglewood’s The Haysboro development. E+Rose will open in the second quarter of 2025, marking the eighth Nashville-area cafe. (Nashville Post)
Regional
  • Tomorrow, Nov. 2 will be the last sunset after 5 p.m. for the rest of the year in Nashville as we prepare for daylight saving time. Set your clocks back before bed or as soon as you wake up on Sunday — the next time we’ll see a 7 p.m. sunset will be in March. (WSMV)
Seasonal
  • Spruce up next weekend’s plans. Tanger Outlets Nashville hosts its tree lighting and Santa’s arrival celebration on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. Specialty activations include a VR snowball fight game, DIY wreath and ornament stations + a Mini Nutcracker performance by the Nashville Ballet.
Number
  • Over $50,000. That’s the record-breaking funds raised for the American Cancer Society via the Nashville 1/2, Marathon & 6.15K that took place at First Horizon Park on Saturday, Oct. 26. The event also saw the highest number of runners registered with nearly 4,000 people hitting the race route.
Finance
  • Inflation may be cooling, but car insurance premiums aren’t. Why? All insurance is now priced in real-time — so repair times, parts shortages, and credit scores all play a part in the final price. Take Money’s questionnaire on your best car insurance experience to see if you can save.*

The Buy

A whole room space heater. Save $30 on a small but mighty space heater with a focus on safety — it has tip-over protection, a cool touch case, and will automatically shut off if overheated.
