🏡 Estate sale shopping 101
Look out for neighborhood coffee shops on your way to estate sales. | Photo by NASHtoday
Estate sales offer more than unique finds. They’re a chance to explore Nashville’s neighborhoods, where you might discover a new coffee shop, restaurant, park, or hidden gem along the way.
Getting started
First, check out Estatesales.net or Estalesales.org early in the week to bookmark sales of interest. Most start on Wednesday or Thursday, with many sales continuing through the weekend. With this mobile app, you can hit directions on your sale of choice, and the app will load the correct address into your phone’s maps program.
As you plan your shopping adventure, think of items that might catch your eye, from home decor and glassware to mid-century modern treasures and musical instruments. Depending on the sale, you may even find pieces of Nashville’s past, like Opryland memorabilia and Hatch Show Print posters.
Pro tip: The sale address is usually released the day before the event, but the zip code is typically available when the sale is announced. Plus, check the accepted payment methods for each listing.
The Buy

Y’all know I love shopping at area farmers markets, so I just have to share a couple of my favorite finds from over the weekend: Bantam Farm’s cinnamon rolls and Joel Jr.'s small-batch pimento cheese.
