Running clubs are a great way to get your steps in around Music City and find a supportive group to keep you motivated. Check out these local clubs that make us excited to hit the pavement.
New to running? No worries — many of these groups welcome runners of all paces and are free to join.
Jogalope| Enjoy a change of scenery? Meet-up locations on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. vary, but you can bookmark the schedule weeks in advance on Jogalope’s website. Don’t miss Frothy Fridays at 6:30 a.m. and Sasquatchalope! Trail Runs on Saturdays at 7 and 9 a.m.
Donelson Run Club | Keep up with the group’s Monday Morning Mug and Tuesday Evening Trot schedules on Instagram. Bonus: Join the Second Sunday Bagel Run to recharge with bagels and coffee after a scenic neighborhood jog.
12 South Runners | If you want to kick off your week with a run in 12 South, this group meets on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at Embers Ski Lodge, where some members cool off with a post-run brew. Prefer early mornings? A sub-group meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
The Nations Run Club | This Monday evening run starts at Southern Grist Brewing Company at 6:30 p.m. From there, all paces are welcome to choose from the routes (typically 2-5 miles) posted on the group’s Instagram page.
We’re Not Really Runners Nashville | This run and social club’s motto is to “empower runners and non-runners alike.” Join the group, which is part of a nationwide network, on Mondays at 6:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. Meet-up locations are announced weekly on Instagram.
Labor Day BBQ | Monday, Sept. 2 | 11 a.m. | Fat Bottom Brewing Co. | Cost of purchase | DJ Yacht Rock Ryan will be spinning hits at the brewery’s Labor Day feast.
Summer Shakespeare | Monday, Sept. 2 | The Yard at ONEC1TY | $10+ suggested donation | Arrive at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-show lecture and concert before settling in for Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, “As You Like It.”

Traffic
NDOT is seeking feedback on two Midtown pedestrian and bicycle projects: Church Street Complete Street and Athena Bikeways. Church Street and Elliston Place will see 1.7 miles of upgrades to improve traffic flow and accessibility, while Athena will add ~3 miles of new bikeways. Visit each project page to take the survey.
Kids
Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee is hosting its Tennessee Titans Kids Captain contest for kids ages 6 to 12. Eight winners will be chosen for eight games, each joining a pregame coin toss + receiving tickets, a parking pass, and Titans gear. Enter on Farm Bureau’s Facebook page three weeks before each game.
