Middle Tennessee’s Whiskey Week returns Sunday, May 12 and runs through Thursday, May 23 with curated chef and whiskey paired dinners, drink specials, a cocktail competition, and more.

Master Distiller-Chef Dinners
Saffire and Nashville Barrel Company | Monday, May 13 | 6-8 p.m. | The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd. | $192 | Get a sneak peek of Saffire’s menu via a three-course meal paired with whiskey and live music.

Fonda, a New York-based restaurant by chef Roberto Santibañez, officially opens today, May 9 in the former Josephine space — 2316 12th Ave. S. Take a peek at the dinner menu, which features made-to-order guacamole, taco boards, and small plates like crab empanadas and grilled lobster with street corn.

Also in 12 South, jewelry brand HART celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, May 11. The shop at 2309 12th Ave. S. specializes in custom charm jewelry and on-the-spot assembly, though shoppers can also find ready-to-wear collections.

Martin Lawrence is bringing his new stand-up comedy show to Bridgestone Arena early next year. The event on Sunday, Jan. 19 features special guests Rickey Smiley, Loni Love, and Benji Brown. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 17.
