Middle Tennessee’s Whiskey Week returns Sunday, May 12 and runs through Thursday, May 23 with curated chef and whiskey paired dinners, drink specials, a cocktail competition, and more.

Master Distiller-Chef Dinners

Saffire and Nashville Barrel Company | Monday, May 13 | 6-8 p.m. | The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd. | $192 | Get a sneak peek of Saffire’s menu via a three-course meal paired with whiskey and live music.

The Chef & I, Jack Daniel’s, Big Machine, and Prichard’s | Wednesday, May 15 | 6-8 p.m. | The Chef & I, 1922 Adelicia St. | $160 | Each of the five tastings (duck confit poutine, smoked elk filet, and more) will be paired with a spirit.

Carne Mare and Uncle Nearest | Thursday, May 16 | 6:30 p.m. | Carne Mare, 300 12th Ave. S. | $195 | Enjoy a four-course dinner paired with Uncle Nearest’s new Black Label Single Barrel and other expressions.

  • Fonda, a New York-based restaurant by chef Roberto Santibañez, officially opens today, May 9 in the former Josephine space — 2316 12th Ave. S. Take a peek at the dinner menu, which features made-to-order guacamole, taco boards, and small plates like crab empanadas and grilled lobster with street corn.
Biz
  • Also in 12 South, jewelry brand HART celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, May 11. The shop at 2309 12th Ave. S. specializes in custom charm jewelry and on-the-spot assembly, though shoppers can also find ready-to-wear collections.
Real Estate
  • $505,000. That was the median price for a single-family home in the Nashville area last month, up from $468,300 this time last year, according to Greater Nashville Realtors. This is the first time the median price has surpassed half a million dollars. Dig into more data. (Nashville Post)

  • Fire up the smokers. Edley’s Bar-B-Que is now open at The Factory at Franklin. In other Factory news, Amelia’s Flowers plans to add a permanent flower truck (in addition to the shop inside) next to Slim & Husky’s on Friday, May 17.

  • Martin Lawrence is bringing his new stand-up comedy show to Bridgestone Arena early next year. The event on Sunday, Jan. 19 features special guests Rickey Smiley, Loni Love, and Benji Brown. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 17.

  • The Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium have partnered with Parking Management Company (PMC) to offer thousands of additional parking spaces for upcoming stadium events. Reserve parking spots ahead of time for CMA Fest, Monster Jam, Zach Bryan, and more.

Live Nation’s Concert Week is back through Tuesday, May 14, which can only mean one thing: $25 concert tickets. In Nashville, there are 100+ specially priced shows at venues all over town.

Amphitheater events
