Whether you frequent Charlotte, NC often or only know it from the latest season of “Love is Blind,” the Queen City is blooming with springtime fun.
Here are five can’t-miss activities and events happening this season (that are absolutely worth the trip):
🎶 A brand-new music festival
Get ready to rock, because the first-ever Lovin’ Life Music Fest is happening Friday, May 3-Sunday, May 5 in Uptown’s First Ward.

The Queen City has an abundance of unique rooftop bars and restaurants. It’s hard to choose a favorite, but here are a couple good callouts: The Charlotte Beer Garden has one of the largest selections of draft beer available in one restaurant + Graham Street Pub & Patio is conveniently located near Bank of America Stadium and Truist Field.
Wherever you end up, your food and drinks are almost guaranteed to be paired with views of Charlotte’s stunning skyline.

... it might sound a lot like what you’ll learn from the Tennessee State Museum’s newest exhibit, “Tennessee Furniture.”
The temporary display launches on Saturday, April 20, showcasing 45 pieces and artifacts from the late 18th century to contemporary makers. Guests will notice four areas of interest:
Furniture in Action | Looks at how furniture was used in the home (think: pie safes and sugar chests)
Made by Hands | Looks at the materials, designs, and techniques of a craftsperson, which can be traced to specific communities
Furniture Makers | Looks at the business of furniture making, with a special focus on the contributions of journeymen, laborers, and more
Furniture as Art | Looks at the craftmanship and innovative designs of past and contemporary makers
Bonus: Pencil in a special Lunch and Learn programming date led by Senior Curator of Fine Art Candice Candeto and centered around the exhibit on Thursday, May 16. RSVP now.

We heard from ~120 readers who know exactly what they want to bring to the Nashville table following news of Canada-based chain Tim Hortons’ expansion. Here’s a look at what you’re cooking:
Portillo’s — 37%
Skyline Chili — 27%
Sweetgreen — 15%
Del Taco — 9%
Other — 12%
Of the 12% of readers who had another idea in mind, not one response was shared among the group. Some of the mentioned chains included Tijuana Flats, Milo’s, and Bahama Breeze. As for us? You know we love local best, but it’s a fun conversation to start.
