Your guide to the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival

Centennial Park will host Nashvillians for a day filled with music, dancing, art, and culinary delights at the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival. The free event on Saturday, Oct. 7 takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beyond the festivities, it’s an open invitation for residents to connect with their neighbors and celebrate the many cultures that make up Music City.
Performances
Find a spot on the lawn for 60+ performances across multiple stages. Some stages are located in new areas this year, so bookmark the event map for easy navigation.

The Asurion Stage | Traditional song and dance performances by the Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville, Ballet Folklorico Sol de Mexico, Nashville Irish Step, Music City Soul, and more
Metro Parks Performs | Highlights Metro’s 20+ community centers with live music and dance, arts and crafts stations, and interactive sports demos
Kidsville | Imagination Library, Frist Art Museum, and other groups will host kids activities near Lake Watauga. Bonus: It’s also NPT’s Be My Neighbor Day.

Food + shopping
Visit the World Bazaar for handcrafted items and plan your festival feast with 30+ food pop-ups to choose from. Located directly behind the food vendors is a picnic area and beer garden with lawn games. Some of the vendors include:

TASTE: A Food and Drink Festival | Sunday, Oct. 8 | 3-8 p.m. | GEODIS Park, 501 Benton Ave. | $75+ | This 21+ event benefitting Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation features 30+ food and drink vendors, drink-pouring aerialists, stilt walkers, drag queens, DJs, a silent auction, and more.
Ruben Studdard & Clay Aiken | Sunday, Oct. 8 | 7:30 p.m. | Schermerhorn Symphony Center, 1 Symphony Pl. | $39+ | The “American Idol” alums reunite 20 years later for show favorites and other tunes.
Midtown’s The 1865 building (612 21st Ave. N.) will house the 1865 Club, a basement-level cocktail lounge with speakeasy vibes. The club plans to offer memberships to 75-100 people initially, with day passes possibly made available to the public. (Nashville Post)

A 12-acre master-planned community is eyeing an early 2024 groundbreaking at 1411 Dickerson Pk. The Pike will offer a mix of apartments and townhomes + 15,000 sqft of retail space. See renderings of the development’s park area and resort-style pool. (Nashville Business Journal)

Start your engines and save the date. The Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series returns to Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday, June 30, 2024 — the grand finale of a tripleheader race weekend. Renew your Ally 400 tickets now or wait until the general public sale begins on Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Touchdown. Last month’s Tennessee Vols vs. Virginia Cavaliers game attracted 41,268 visitors to Nashville who spent a collective $20.3 million during their stay, per the Nashville Sports Council. The game broke the stadium’s sporting event attendance record with 69,507 fans. (WSMV)
