Travel
❤️ Big love for BNA
Study shows increase in traveler satisfaction at Nashville International Airport
We’d be remiss not to also include BNA’s new sign at the entrance to the airport. | Photo by Larry McCormack courtesy of Nashville International Airport
Boeing, Boeing, gone. Despite a weathered year for flying (read: high passenger volumes + staff shortages), Nashville International Airport soared nine points on J.D. Power’s North America Airport Satisfaction Study — up to 799 on the 1,000-point scale.
How the study works
The study measures overall traveler satisfaction based on six factors — terminal facilities, airport arrival/departure, baggage claim, security check, check-in/baggage check + food, beverage, and retail.
BNA by the numbers
Though we can’t be positive what factors yielded higher results for BNA this year, we’re certainly satisfied with these airport improvements made from 2022 to 2023.
A record-breaking number of 99 nonstop destinations and ~600 arrivals + departures daily
Opened the 200,000-sqft Grand Lobby (aka more TSA lanes)
18 (and counting) new concessions and retail options
215-ft pedestrian bridge
Cell waiting lot more than doubled in size
Plus, in less than one week, the airport will open its International Arrivals Facility. Put that in the overhead bin for now — we’ll have more information for you in an upcoming newsletter.
Answered
We asked “What’s the Titans football memory or game that will forever stick in your mind?”
Personally, we loved seeing a Week 2 home turf win at Nissan Stadium on Sunday. | Photo via the Tennessee Titans
And here’s what you said:
“Christmas day 2000. The coldest I have ever been in my life. Game time temp = 27, wind chill = 10 to 15. 300s ran out of hot water in the second quarter, and my feet were numb by the middle of 3rd. Absolutely did not matter, as Titans won 31-0!! Titan up y’all...” — Grasshopper T.
“The Music City Miracle was my first time to attend a Titans game!” — Lynne S.
“Taking my little brother to his first NFL game on a Thursday night against the Jags and seeing Derrick Henry stiff arm the defense on his way to a 99-yard TD run! Seeing that whole play develop and the crowd get louder and louder is something we will never forget!” — Lanse M.
