To go or not to go... is that even a question? The 36th annual Summer Shakespeare is back — Thursdays through Sundays from Aug. 29 to Sept. 22 at The Yard at oneC1TY (plus, Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day).

This year’s production is sure to bring the crowd, so here are our pro tips for making the most of your experience.

Overarching concept

Director Cammy Harris’ interpretation of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy “As You Like It” will follow “a group of musicians, poets, and other colorful characters as they compose the world they want to live in and create a brand new sound along the way.”

Beyond the production

Vendors open and the Insight Lecture Series starts on the terrace at 5:30 p.m. Secure your snacks + drinks from the food trucks and then find your seat.

Pre-show entertainment, beginning with Inversion Vocal Ensemble on Aug. 29, kicks off at 6 p.m. each evening and features local and regional talent before the play at 7 p.m. See the full lineup.

How to watch

  • Free: Bring your own blanket or chair (a $10 donation is suggested).
  • $40: A Noble Seat is a reserved chair in the second or third row.
  • $100: The VIP Royal Package includes reserved parking, a gourmet picnic dinner, and seating in the first or second row.
Pro tip: oneC1TY offers free parking in the underground garage beneath Pastaria and Sump Coffee — this is where VIP Royal Package ticket holders will also go. You must scan the QR code, enter your license plate number, and use the promo code “SHAKE” to begin your free parking session. There are additional paid lots and street parking available.

51st Deli has introduced a new juice and smoothie bar with 13 curated flavors. Plus, try various add-ons (think: supplements like whey and collagen + nuts, seeds, and even agave) and a build-your-own juice or smoothie option.

We ordered the Hulk (apple, lemon, kale, cucumber, and spinach) this go around, but let’s get into some of your choices if you don’t jive with a green juice.

Juices
  • Detox | Apple, beet, celery, cucumber, ginger, and carrot
  • Vision Works | Pineapple, orange, carrot, and kale
  • Liver Hitter | Beet, carrot, apple, lemon, and ginger
Bonus: Ditch the plastic and order the Fresh Coconut. That’s right, it’s served in the coconut itself.

Smoothies
  • Lunch in a Cup | Banana, apple, peanut butter, almond milk, agave, and cinnamon
  • Red and Yellow | Strawberry, banana, agave, and almond milk
  • 51st Mango Madness | Mango, raisins, almond milk, and agave
