• BetMGM Sports Lounge, a restaurant and bar concept, is expected to open this fall at Bridgestone Arena — in the former Patrón Platinum Club space. While an opening date has not been announced, the restaurant is now hiring.

• Velvet Taco’s latest Weekly Taco Feature is the AI-generated “Chat GPTaco.” The $6.25 creation — made with flank steak, shrimp, red chile aioli, chimichurri, potatoes, grilled onion, queso fresco, jalapeno + cilantro — will be available July 12-25 at the Midtown and East Nashville locations.

• Franklin restaurant Yats (2000 Mallory Ln.) is closing, with the last day of business scheduled for Saturday, July 15. The restaurant, which offers a rotating menu of gumbo, jambalaya, and étouffée, has locations in Ohio and Indiana.

• Local artist Amber Lelli will have a suspended sculpture at the forthcoming Donelson library branch. The final design approved by Metro Arts reflects Donelson’s “green space, landmarks, and imagination” and will be installed in a two-story space at the back of the library.

• Several Nashville record stores will host listening parties for “Barbie: The Album” on Tuesday, July 18 — three days before the film and soundtrack officially release. Visit Grimey’s, The Groove, and Vinyl Tap (times vary) for the chance to win prizes + hear new songs by Lizzo, Khalid, and more.
