Where can you find a mechanical bull, rooftop sips, and a gaming parlor all under one roof? Well, soon, downtown Nashville.
Nashville Live!, an entertainment group with sister concepts in Arlington, TX and Kansas City, has plans to develop the former George Jones Museum building (128 2nd Ave. N.) — with portions of the project opening in phases as soon as this year. Here’s what we know about the venue’s five floors:
Mediterranean-inspired small plates featuring a cucumber salad, mezze platter, and three types of skewers
Lounge-style seating, greenery, and lights at night
DJs and live music in the evenings
A wine list of multiple varieties, craft cocktails, and draft + canned beer
Plus, expect a speakeasy-style bar and The Gallery — a private event space with room for 450 people.

Biz
The Nashville Blanket Project will permanently close its storefront at the Shoppes on Fatherland this month due to a changing economic landscape and personal reasons. The business will remain open online.
Closing
Today is Taqueria del Sol 12 South’s last day of operations, though the business will remain open on Charlotte Avenue. While it’s unclear what’s in store for the building at 2317 12th Ave. S., a permit filed suggests a concept called, “12 South Wine Cafe.”
Sports
And that’s a wrap for the NHL Awards and Draft from Nashville. The Predators picked 11 players overall. It was also a farewell to general manager David Poile, who officially retired after being the only GM the team has ever known. Check out his last trade ever, which was a blast from the past.
Development
It’s official. Nashville SC, in partnership with Vanderbilt Health, held an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday for the team’s new training facility at Century Farms in Antioch. The complex also features three full-size soccer fields.
Announced
Hendersonville Fire Department Station Five will become the first location in Middle Tennessee to install a Safe Haven baby box. The project allows anyone to surrender a newborn anonymously and without questions. (WTVF)

Music City Host Committee begins booking major events for new, enclosed stadium

The majority of large-scale events like sporting competitions and conventions are booked years ahead — that’s what makes the newly-created Music City Host Committee’s job even more vital to the future success of Nashville’s forthcoming enclosed stadium.
The group of 16 Nashville leaders, chaired by former Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, have the task of helping book major stadium events. Some members include country artist Eric Church, Titans CEO and President Burke Nihill, and executive chairman of Ryman Hospitality Properties Colin Reed.
A top focus is to secure the Super Bowl, 2031 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and the College Football Playoff National Championship. Other events being explored include the NFL Draft + Combine and the 2027 WrestleMania.
Asked
What major events would you like to see at the new stadium?
Did you know that the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has a membership with networking events curated specifically for young professionals ages 21-45? The Troubadour Membership is only ~1 year old. I had a blast at the Hatch Show Print gallery and art-making experience this week + can’t wait for the next Nightfall at the Hall performance in September.
