Music City Host Committee begins booking major events for new, enclosed stadium

Mayor John Cooper asked the newly-formed committee to start booking events for the new stadium as soon as it was approved by Metro Council in April.

The majority of large-scale events like sporting competitions and conventions are booked years ahead — that’s what makes the newly-created Music City Host Committee’s job even more vital to the future success of Nashville’s forthcoming enclosed stadium.

The group of 16 Nashville leaders, chaired by former Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, have the task of helping book major stadium events. Some members include country artist Eric Church, Titans CEO and President Burke Nihill, and executive chairman of Ryman Hospitality Properties Colin Reed.

A top focus is to secure the Super Bowl, 2031 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and the College Football Playoff National Championship. Other events being explored include the NFL Draft + Combine and the 2027 WrestleMania.
