Finished 12th Avenue South Complete and Green Street Project unveiled in Nashville
Have you had the opportunity to see the completed project in action? | Photo via @nashvilledot
Word on the street is, the Edgehill area just got a facelift by way of bikeways, greenery, and pedestrian infrastructure — all thanks to the completion of the 12th Avenue South and Green Street project.
Construction on the project began last May at a section of 12th Avenue South between The Gulch and 12 South neighborhoods — through Edgehill. The area was identified as the No. 1 bikeway project priority via the 2017 WalknBike Plan. While most of this 1.5-mile section of roadway included bike lanes, community engagement sessions proved many thought the lanes were not comfortable or safe for all ages and abilities.
Speaking of farmers market opening days — Farmin’ In The Hall is also joining the club this week, celebrating the season launch tomorrow, May 4. If you haven’t already, bookmark our guide to Nashville area markets so you can always eat fresh + local.
