The Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s newly announced 2023-2024 Broadway seasonfeatures eight productions, including six Nashville premieres and the return of classics “Wicked” and “Hairspray.” Here’s what’s coming to the stage:
🎭 Broadway shows
“Wicked” | Oct. 11-29, 2023 | The “untold story of the witches of Oz” takes place before L. Frank Baum’s classic “Wizard of Oz” story ever began.
“Mrs. Doubtfire” | Nov. 7-12, 2023 | This musical comedy — based on the 1993 film of the same name — follows out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard after he loses custody of his kids.
“Funny Girl” | Jan. 2-7, 2024 | This bittersweet comedy follows the life and career of Fanny Brice and features some of Broadway’s most memorable tunes.
“Girl From the North Country” | Jan. 30-Feb.4, 2024 | The production features 20 iconic Bob Dylan songs against the backdrop of Duluth, Minnesota during the Great Depression.
“Tina - The Tina Turner Musical” | Feb. 13-18, 2024 | The show opens in Nutbush, Tennessee, where a young Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock) is singing in church. The rest, of course, is history.
“Beetlejuice” | March 12-17, 2024 | Based on the 1988 Tim Burton film, this musical promises to be “strange and unusual.”
“Disney’s Frozen” | May 7-18, 2024 | Hear songs from the Oscar-winning film along with a dozen new tunes made for the stage.
“Hairspray” | June 11-16, 2024 | Join Tracy Turnblad in 1960s Baltimore as she becomes an overnight celebrity and sets out to change the world.
“The Cher Show” (Jan. 19-20) and “Annie” (March 27-30) will also visit TPAC in 2024 as special add-on presentations.
🎭 How to score tickets
Following record-setting season ticket sales this season, TPAC is anticipating another season of sold-out performances — so you’re probably wondering how to snag tickets. Season ticket holders can renew through Friday, March 3, and new season tickets will be available Monday, March 13. Single tickets will be on sale at a later date.

Metro Planning is looking to develop a new neighborhood plan for Edgehill. Residents can attend a community listening session on Tuesday, Feb. 28 (5:30-7 p.m.) at Easley Community Center. The meeting will begin with a short presentation on the project’s timeline.
