When’s the last time you played a game of “Would You Rather,” Nashville?
In case you’ve never played, here’s a quick rundown:
Step 1 — A question is posed that pitches two options. Example: “Would you rather live in Nashville, Tennessee, or any other city in the world?”
Step 2 — You decide what you’d rather do. No surprise here, we’re saying the 615.
Now that you’re a “Would You Rather” expert, let’s tap into our inner middle schoolers and play this nostalgic game, featuring some of the Music City’s most iconic landmarks, qualities + foods.
Don’t worry, we won’t ask you anything gruesome or anxiety provoking (that’s not really our style).
Whether it’s choosing between seeing Dolly Parton or Blake Shelton, or deciding if you’d rather have a lifetime supply of meat-and-threes or Daddy’s Dogs, we want to know what you’d rather do.
Get a sneak peek of three out of eight questions below, then tap the “submit your responses” button to record your answers and view the full questionnaire. Is there a “Would You Rather” question about Music City that you’d like to see answered? Send it our way and we might just pose it to your fellow readers.
QUESTION
Q1: Would you rather spend two hours playing tourist in your own city with Dolly Parton OR get a day on the set of “Barmageddon” asking Blake Shelton anything you want about the show?

2. I’m ready for my TV debut with Blake.

1. Give me endurance.
2. Give me speed.
Q3: Would you rather take in rooftop skyline views at Rare Bird on a Friday night OR catch a live performance at Ascend Amphitheater?
1. Cocktail in hand, please.

Are UFO a believer?
Alien sightings in Nashville, TN
The Nashville weather has also caused some pretty eerie skies. | Photo by @miss_erica_michelle
No one knows for sure if aliens exist, but there are plenty of sightings in Middle Tennessee that bolster belief. According to the National UFO Reporting Center, there have been thousands of sightings in Tennessee — and 200+ sightings in Nashville alone.
Eyewitness accounts
They say seeing is believing. Here are several eyewitness accounts of UFO sightings around Nashville from the State Report Index:
Sept. 17, 2020 | “I woke up from a crazy dream and stepped out onto my second floor balcony and looked up into the sky, there were heavy clouds in a section and behind the clouds I seen lights simultaneously fluttering on and off. Then these lights would move in different patterns as though communicating.”
March 19, 2014 | “It was very cold, perfectly blue sky. I watched [a cylinder shape] come from the west, no sound at all. What was odd about it, was it looked like it may have been about 40-50 long [sic], but was covered in mist [...] As it started to come over our parking lot, I started to hear a helicopter coming from the north (probably from Fort Campbell). As soon as the copter was heard, the object made a 90 degree turn, straight up.”
