March madness has arrived, and no, we’re not talking about what’s happening on the court. Beginning Friday, March 8, the Nashville Zoo extends its daily hours (9 a.m.-6 p.m.), also marking the return of a slew of zoo features.
What’s coming
- Daily Wild Works Animal Shows are back (with the exception of Tuesdays) at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
- Grassmere Historic Home tours also resume.
- Lorikeet Landing will reopen (when it’s sunny and above 55°).

What to know
- Screaming Gibbon Pizza Kitchen and Quills Cafe & Grille launched new menus .
- Advanced time entry reservations are still required.
- The “Know Before You Go ” tab will tell you which features are unavailable before your visit. For a chunk of time, giraffes will not be visible as the zoo works on the new Leopard Forest habitat . The rope bridge at Spider Monkey is also closed for renovation.

- Watch two new short films in Adventure 4D Theater — “BBC Earth’s Shark: A 4D Experience®" and “The Bear and The Squirrel 4D.”
- Eggstravaganzoo , the zoo’s annual egg hunt, returns on Saturday, March 30
- Plan Ahead: Sips for Species is coming back a second year on Friday, April 26. The after-dark experience includes adult beverages and food trucks, live music, keeper talks, and animal encounters.
