The calendar is beginning to take shape at The Truth, the new Wedgewood-Houston concert venue set to open this fall. So far, 23 shows have been announced for the 4,400-person capacity indoor music hall, which is being developed by Live Nation.

As a refresher, The Truth will feature three levels for seated and standing-room shows, plus spaces like a vinyl listening room + a whiskey bar named Harlan’s.

News Notes

Traffic

Broadway between Rep. John Lewis Way and 2nd Avenue will be closed to vehicles on Friday and Saturday evenings as part of a new pedestrian safety measure. The closures will be in place from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. until further notice.

Announced

The schedule is set for Olympic soccer in Nashville. GEODIS Park will host nine men’s and women’s matches during the 2028 Summer Olympics, including seven group stage games in mid-July and quarterfinal matches on July 20 and 21. Register for the LA28 ticket draw by tomorrow, March 18. (USA Today)

Add another country star bar to the list. Chris Young confirmed to Billboard that he’s opening Famous Friends in Midtown later this year, named after his chart-topping song with Kane Brown. Keep up with the progress on Instagram.

Eat

Young isn’t the only country star planning a Nashville spot. Cole Swindell is teaming up with Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux to open a location at 215 Broadway sometime in 2027. (Music Row)

In case you missed it, Hany Mukhtar delivered a milestone moment for Major League Soccer on Saturday night. The Nashville SC star scored the 25,000th regular-season goal in MLS history, sealing a 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew. Watch the history-making play.

Eat

Cheers to 25 years. Park Cafe has a special anniversary menu available through Sunday, March 22, featuring an entree with an appetizer or dessert for $30. We’re eyeing the fried green tomatoes and signature salmon dish. (WZTV)

Outdoors

Tennessee State Parks will host ranger-led Spring Hikes this Saturday, March 21 at parks across the state, including Harpeth River State Park, Cedars of Lebanon, and Bledsoe Creek State Park near Nashville. The hikes are free, just be sure to register in advance and bring water.
