Nextdoor just released its 2026 Friendliest Neighborhood rankings, and one Nashville community took the top spot locally.
The Nations earned a perfect friendliness score, based on positive posts, fulfilled requests, welcome messages, and how neighbors show up for one another. If you’re thinking about making a move, these homes are currently for sale in the area.

Starbucks is brewing a corporate presence in Music City. The Seattle-based coffee giant plans to open a corporate operations office later this year to support its growth plans in the Southeast. Officials have not yet shared the location, opening date, or job estimates.

A Signia by Hilton hotel could be headed to Nashville Yards — and if plans move forward, it would become the largest hotel downtown with more than 800 rooms. (Nashville Business Journal)

Two-time James Beard nominee Andy Little will be the chef at Sally’s Stay Awhile, opening this spring in Wedgewood-Houston. Along with breakfast service, the menu will feature salads and sandwiches for lunch + dishes such as prime rib, pasta, and rotisserie chicken for dinner. (Nashville Scene)

Learotha Williams Jr. is the new Davidson County Historian. The Tennessee State University history professor will serve a five-year term and says one thing he hopes to tackle is uncovering lesser-known parts of Nashville’s Civil Rights history. (WPLN)
Closed
Scoreboard closed its Cedar Creek (Mt. Juliet) and Four Corners (Antioch) locations. The original Music Valley Drive spot will remain open, as ownership shifts focus to its Gulf Coast expansion and other Nashville concepts. (The Tennessean)

WeGo is seeking input on proposed summer 2026 service changes and a long-term transit strategy called WeGo Forward. Share feedback via mail, phone, and email beginning Monday, March 16 or attend one of these upcoming meetings.

Vanderbilt swept major SEC postseason honors, with Mikayla Blakes named SEC Player of the Year + Aubrey Galvan earning SEC Freshman of the Year. Head coach Shea Ralph was named SEC Coach of the Year, making Vandy just the fourth program to win all three awards in the same season.
