Opening

Present Tense reopens tomorrow, March 6. The restaurant known for Japanese-inspired small plates and natural wines relocated from Hart Street to a new Wedgewood-Houston space across from Pastis and Hermès. Take a look at the sample menu.

Coming Soon

In other restaurant news, Austin-based Hai Hospitality plans to open Uchi in Pie Town next year. A former warehouse on Ewing Avenue will be converted into the restaurant — expect sushi, small plates, and rotating chef’s tastings. (Nashville Business Journal)

English Premier League clubs Liverpool FC and Sunderland AFC will face off in a friendly at GEODIS Park on Saturday, July 25 as part of TEG Sport’s 2026 Summer Soccer Series. Register for pre-sale tickets.

Reba McEntire will join Trisha Yearwood’s “Band As One Nashville” show on Sunday, March 22 at the Opry House. The benefit for Susan G. Komen will also feature The War and Treaty, Hailey Whitters, Ashley McBryde, and more.

Volunteers are still needed for local Weed Wrangle events on Saturday, March 7. The nationwide initiative aims to protect public parks and green spaces by removing invasive trees, vines, and plants.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. is expected to race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, April 11 when the CARS Tour returns to the track for the first time since 2021.

A report from Axios Nashville says representatives from Sphere Entertainment have considered a smaller version of the immersive concert venue for Music City.

The original Sphere in Las Vegas is known for massive LED visuals and residency-style shows from artists such as U2, Kenny Chesney, and the Backstreet Boys. A second, smaller Sphere is already planned in Maryland, with a capacity of about 6,000 people.
