Nashville is still buzzing after hosting the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, but the college hoops action is far from over — even in Music City.
Three Nashville teams are heading to March Madness: TSU men’s basketball and Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s teams.
🏀 Where are local men’s teams going?
TSU punched their ticket after winning the Ohio Valley Conference championship for the first time since 1994. The Tigers are a No. 15 seed in the Midwest Region and will face No. 2 seed Iowa State in the first round in St. Louis.
Vanderbilt’s men’s basketball team is a No. 5 seed in the South Region and will face No. 12 seed McNeese in their first-round game in Oklahoma City.
🏀 Which women’s teams are playing in town?
Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball team is a No. 2 seed and will host No. 15 seed High Point in the first round at Memorial Gym on Saturday, March 21. No. 7 seed Illinois and No. 10 seed Colorado will also face off in Nashville that day, with the winners advancing to a second-round matchup at Memorial Gym on Monday, March 23.
