With winter weather disrupting restaurant operations across the city, there’s something to look forward to as Nashville thaws out. Dine Nashville, the city’s month-long celebration of the local dining scene, returns in less than a week.

We’ve already shared this year’s chef collaborations, but now’s a good time to start planning which special menu items + discounts you’ll want to try in February — like the Patti’s House Salad at International Market and multi-course meals at Stompin’ Grounds and Yolan.

The Nashville Department of Waste Services plans to resume downtown collection today, though residential curbside trash + recycling collection remains suspended for now. The department is also waiving convenience center fees through Saturday — see the list of accepted materials.

Harvey’s New York Style Bagels, led by the co-owner of Charleston’s Ruby’s Bagels, is heading to Nashville. The initial locations are planned for West Nashville (Kenner Avenue) and the Melrose area, with more neighborhoods under consideration. (Nashville Business Journal)

Last week, we shared that JINYA Ramen Bar is coming to Capitol View. Now we know the opening date + a special perk for going on opening day. The first 100 guests to dine on Thursday, Feb. 5 will receive a free bowl of ramen to redeem on a future visit. (Nashville Lifestyles)

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Dylan

The Nashville Zoo will remain closed through Thursday, Jan. 29, including Zoolumination, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share these photos of Xander (left) and Will-O (right) in the snow.
