Traveling, hosting, unplugging — whatever the holidays looked like for you, consider this your quick refresher on Nashville’s top headlines from the past week.
  • 2nd Avenue fully reopened to cars and pedestrians five years after the Christmas Day bombing.
  • Dalts American Grill abruptly closed after 45 years, but reopening plans are already in motion under Strategic Hospitality (the group behind Locust and The Catbird Seat).
  • If you came across news about RiverGate Mall closing on Dec. 31, here’s an update: While most tenants plan to vacate by the end of the year, Guitar Center, Dillard’s, JCPenney, City Gear, and Finish Line will remain open as redevelopment plans take shape.

The Wrap

How’s everyone doing? It feels good to be back after a week of holiday meals, movies, and trying to keep track of the days. To help me get back in the swing of things, today’s newsletter was fueled by a pecan pie latte from Crieve Hall Bagel Co. It’s on the sweeter side and so, so good.
