Plus, an interesting pie flavor.

News Notes

Mansion Monday

Did you know there are ~25,000 castles in Germany? National Geographic rounded up its top 10, featuring hilltop views, medieval vibes, and stunning historical charm. Looking for a castle of your own? This three-level home with sweeping downtown views just hit the market.

Show

To mark its 20th anniversary, The Listening Room will take over the Ryman for one night on Tuesday, March 3, with performances by Hardy, Mitchell Tenpenny, Jo Dee Messina, and more.

State

House Beautiful just named the most famous building in each US state, and The Parthenon took the title for Tennessee. It’s in good company, with Nashville home to plenty of memorable landmarks and skyline icons.

Announced

There will be a new Album of the Year winner at next year’s Grammy Awards, with none of the nominees having won the prestigious accolade before. Want to pick your own favorite? We recommend singing along during a beautiful fall walk.
“Hey, I just saw a Roseate Spoonbill.” If your partner perked up, congrats — they’ve passed the bird theory test. The trend supposedly tests how tuned-in your sweetheart really is. Consider this a sign to try out birding or plan a date at Southall’s falconry experience.

Travel

White-sand beaches, volcanic backdrops, tropical wildlife, and mind-blowing cuisine. That’s what awaits at Travel and Leisure’s No. 1 trending travel destination for 2026 — Limon, Costa Rica. Whether you choose the Central American paradise, or somewhere else entirely, Nashville International Airport is the place to start your adventure.

Eat

Taco Bell is selling a Baja Blast-flavored pie this Thanksgiving. The drink’s signature tropical lime flavor has been turned into a filling on a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream. To each their own, but we prefer picking up seasonal desserts from Nashville’s small businesses like Baked on 8th. (People)

The Buy

A really good heating pad to get you through the winter season. The Buy Editor Sarah recently tested one from Pure Enrichment’s selection — its plush cover is ultra soft, it heats up quickly, and it features an automatic shut-off feature. Pro tip: Heat the pad up under your bed covers before you climb in on cold winter nights.

Bonus: Use code HSN2025 to save $10 off $20 through November.

The Wrap

“Why doesn’t Nashville have more frozen yogurt shops?” It’s a question that pops up in the NASHtoday inbox more often than you’d think, so I’m always on the lookout for local options to share. Last week, I discovered Nick the Greek serves plain, baklava + honey, and chocolate shell flavors at its Nashville Yards location.
