East Nashville just scored a brand new food truck park called The PickUp, located a couple miles from downtown at 1225 Brick Church Pk. Shoutout to readers Dave P. and MJ for the scoop.

Here’s what you need to know before you roll up:
  • Open Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Free parking for customers + outdoor seating
  • Daily lineup posted on the calendar
  • Themed days like “Truck-or-Treat,” a pet costume parade, and “Trucksgiving”

Eat

Hearts is following its heart to Chestnut Hill. The Australian-inspired cafe, with locations in East Nashville and 12 South, plans to expand to Hart Street in the former Present Tense space. As for Present Tense, it’s relocating nearby to Houston Street. (Nashville Business Journal)

Dave’s Cosmic Subs is en route to Nashville. The Ohio-based sandwich brand is eyeing a January opening on Charlotte Avenue near Sylvan Supply. Browse the menu to see which sub sounds best to you — and don’t miss the vegan and vegetarian options at the end. (What Now Nashville)

Development

Pinnacle Hospitality Partners submitted plans for a 15-story hotel on Rep. John Lewis Way South near Margaritaville Hotel. If the project moves forward, a Metro document suggests it will be named Sliver Nashville and offer 281 rooms. (Nashville Post)

Global fashion retailer Primark is set to open at CoolSprings Galleria on Thursday, Oct. 30. The store, which carries a variety of clothing, accessories, and home goods, will celebrate opening weekend with giveaways, local treats, and a visit from Bluey.
