In the age of BookTok and romance novels on the rise, you might have noticed mobile bookstores rolling onto the Nashville literary scene in the past year. Here are three you can track down on wheels:
📖 Slow Burn Bookshop | Schedule
Look for the red flowers marking the entrance to this mobile shop, where romance reads line the shelves alongside totes, stickers, and bookmarks.
📖 Sugar and Spice Book Co. | Schedule
After roaming Music City since May, this romance-only bookshop has settled into a residency inside Prickly Pear Coffee Co.’s Gulch location while still popping up at events around town. Expect shelves stacked with flirty reads all within reach of your latte.
📖 Shadowed Pages Bookshop | Schedule
This cozy bookshop carries stories of all kinds but has a soft spot for romance. Look out for mainstream and indie authors + bookish merch when it rolls up to coffee shops, breweries, festivals, and private events.
Maru Sushi & Grill is now open at Emblem Park, a new mixed-use development bordering Wedgewood-Houston. The restaurant, which has locations in East Nashville and the Nations, serves everything from sushi, yakitori, and small plates to sake and cocktails.
Opening
In other restaurant news, Culinary Dropout is set to open tomorrow, Sept. 10 at Franklin’s McEwen Northside. The gastropub is known for comfort food with a twist — think: pretzels with provolone fondue, white truffle deviled eggs, and honey-drizzled fried chicken.
Transit
WeGo and the Titans teamed up to offer free bus fare on home game days. New this year, Bellevue and Sumner Country residents can score express bus service to and from Nissan Stadium. Bookmark the routes and schedules.
Concert
Hardy, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and other country stars are joining forces this Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2) for the American Cancer Society’s Country vs. Cancer concert at The Pinnacle. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m.
Plan Ahead
