Need a sign that fall is on the way?Cheekwood Harvest returns Saturday, Sept. 13-Thursday, Oct. 30 with its fan-favorite Pumpkin Village, chrysanthemum displays, and scarecrow trail, plus the new Harvest NIGHTS on Thursdays featuring jack-o’-lanterns, live music, and seasonal drinks.
Film
The Hallmark Channel is Music City bound for “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.” Brad Paisley will write and perform original music for the film, which begins shooting in Nashville this month. And we won’t have to wait long — it premieres during this year’s “Countdown to Christmas” programming. (Parade)
Eat
Plans are in the works to reopen Calypso Cafe’s West Nashville location for full-service dining, but for now customers can get their black bean salad and fruit tea fix for pickup or delivery via UberEats and DoorDash. (Nashville Business Journal)
Traffic
Nightly alternating triple-lane closures are underway on I-40 near BNA as part of TDOT’s Donelson Pike interchange project. Work runs from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the next two to three weeks, starting with eastbound lanes. Some ramp closures are also scheduled this week.
Pets
Nashville just ranked among the least pet-friendly cities in the US, coming in at No. 51 out of 100 in a new WalletHub study. We beg to differ. There is plenty for you and Fido to do together around Music City.
Travel
