Planting a Southern magnolia will bring year-round foliage to your landscape. | Photo by NASHtoday
It’s like online shopping — but for trees. Root Nashville is giving Davidson County residents up to three large trees for free, delivered right to your door between October and March. You can browse the tree catalog and filter by size, sunlight, and soil conditions to find your perfect match, whether that’s a Southern magnolia, Shumard oak, persimmon, bald cypress, or blackgum.
Around 40% of this season’s 8,000 trees have been claimed so far. If your yard could use a little more shade, tree orders are open through Sunday, Aug. 31.
