News Notes

Weather

Fourth of July weekend is shaping up to be sunny and dry in Nashville with highs in the low- to mid-90s. Last year’s holiday hit 99°, although that’s still shy of the city’s all-time Fourth of July high of 103° set in 2012. (WKRN)

Real Estate

Less than a year after opening, the 38-story Prime tower on Church Street is converting from apartments to condos. All units will be offered for purchase, with current renters given priority. The building is ~40% leased and will eventually house a Pagani showroom. (Nashville Business Journal)

Post Malone’s new bar and restaurant, Posty’s, is now open on Lower Broadway. The 26,000-sqft venue includes six bars, three stages, a rooftop patio, a full-service dining room, and a lower-level lounge with karaoke — you know, to belt out all your favorite Posty songs.

Biz

All People Coffee is closing, but the East Nashville coffee shop won’t stay quiet for long. Momento Specialty Coffee, which has a location in Hermitage, is taking over the space in the coming weeks.

Stand Up To Cancer is bringing its televised fundraising special to Nashville for the first time. The event at The Pinnacle will be hosted by Sheryl Crow + feature an appearance by Dolly Parton. Here’s how to tune in on Friday, Aug. 15.

Used car prices have soared in Nashville, according to a new report. In 2019, 47.2% of used vehicles sold for under $20,000. By 2025, that number dropped to just 10.2%. The report cited lingering effects from pandemic-era production slowdowns. (The Tennessean)
