Traffic

NDOT is partnering with TPAC to implement a four-week rideshare zone pilot program beginning tomorrow, Jan. 28. During this time, some metered spaces on Deaderick Street will become designated rideshare and taxi pick-up and drop-off zones.

Sports

Vanderbilt Athletics officially dedicated the Huber Center on Friday — “one of the most significant milestones [in the Vandy United campaign] yet.” The four-story basketball operations center and practice facility, located at the north end zone of FirstBank Stadium, includes film rooms, a recovery suite, sports science area, and more.

Open

Rock’n Dough celebrated the opening of its second area location last week, this time in Gallatin. In addition to the pizza and brews you already love, the new restaurant at 2145 Nashville Pk. also offers duckpin bowling and a covered patio.

Drink

$5 beers aren’t just for happy hour at this new downtown bar. Show Pony, which is now open in the former Johnny Cash’s Bar and BBQ space, serves them every day. Cheer on the dancing cast members while you dig into a menu of carnival-inspired bites, from funnel cakes and corn dogs to jumbo pretzels.

There’s a new fitness studio on the block. Former “Bachelorette” contestant Shawn Booth will unveil his newest venture, BC Block, on Saturday, Feb. 22. Beyond its classes covering strength training, treadmill work, and Lagree, the facility will offer cold plunges, saunas, IV therapy, and even on-site childcare.
