Holiday

Happy Thanksgiving. However you celebrate, we hope you enjoy a day of rest, reflection, and community. We here at NASHtoday are thankful for our city, and the fact that there’s always plenty to talk about.

We know Nashville is one of the best cities in the world, and now it’s official. The 2025 World’s Best Cities list just dropped and Nashville nabbed the No. 64 spot. We also ranked No. 22 in culture and No. 53 in nightlife.

Nations restaurant Burger + Grain has paused reservations for the coming months. According to the Nashville Business Journal, Metro records show an eviction notice served earlier this week. Ahead of TSU’s playoff game, head coach Eddie George was named one of 15 finalists for the Eddie Robinson Award. Linebacker Sanders Ellis is also in the top 25 for the Jerry Rice Award. Both George and Ellis took home OVC Honors as Coach of the Year and Defensive Freshman of the Year.

Turnip Truck’s new Midtown location is coming along. The local grocery store will open on the main level of The Broadview (120 20th Ave. S.) early next year. In fact, on-site interviews for open positions will be held in the development’s conference room this Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
