Transit

🚉 This will stop you in your tracks

Next stop: Donelson Station. | Photo by @wcr_photography
Donelson is on a roll. On the heels of the ribbon cutting of its new Nashville Public Library branch, the neighborhood was selected for a $10 million transit grant from the FTA as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The ~1.5 billion in funding was distributed across 47 states to serve over 100 projects.

WeGo Transit will expand the rail platform and park and ride lot to serve as a bus transit center at Donelson Station, according to the FTA announcement. The enhancements aim to improve connections, increase safety, provide rider amenities, and “set the stage for future transit-oriented development.”

Donelson Station (2705 Lebanon Pk.) operates as a stop on WeGo Star’s route and also acts as a park and ride lot for Route 6 Lebanon Pike buses.
