Cyanide Cider is Nashville’s brand new cidery, situated south of downtown in the Woodbine neighborhood.
From the owner of East Nashville’s Crazy Gnome Brewery, the cider bar at 410 Woodbine St. serves hard cider, craft beer, and made-to-order food (we’ll get to the delicious details later). The business is gearing up for its grand opening on Saturday, June 29.
The cider
Cyanide makes its dry cider from not-from-concentrate juice with no added sugars and takes a “blend-in-glass approach.” In other words, bartenders and customers personalize each glass of cider on the spot using craft sodas, organic juices, or simple syrups made in house.
“By keeping things dry until it hits your glass, we’re giving you a blank canvas to play with,” said owner Grayson Miller, who recently appeared on “Brewery Underground Podcast.”
This is where Cyanide’s “Mixing Station” comes in. Instead of a cider flight, guests receive two dry ciders and two non-alcoholic options, all served in beakers, along with two empty glasses for experimenting.
Want to branch out beyond cider? The bar will have 10+ beers on tap and a few other non-cider options.
The space
Tucked away off Nolensville Pike near Phonoluxe Records, the taproom features two main spaces: a cozy, low-ceiling room with a bar and a larger room with natural light and plenty of seating.
However, Cyanide Cider isn’t the only business under the roof. The cidery partnered with Birria Babe to open a permanent location inside the taproom. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Crispy tacos (beef, chicken, or lamb)
Black bean nachos layered with cheese, cilantro, and onion and served with house salsas

We’ll go first. City Editor Dylan loves watching the sun go down over the skyline from the top of Fort Negley Park.
