Visit the Bells Bend Outdoor Center for educational programs and activities before exploring the 808-acre pastoral park. Ready to hit the trails? Be sure to look out for migratory birds and other wildlife during your visit.

The 800-acre green space in the Donelson-Hermitage area stands out not only as one of the city’s largest regional parks, but also as one of its newest. It’s located on a major bend in the Stones River, so expect winding trails along the riverfront and connection to the Stones River Greenway. There’s also a playground, basketball court, and outdoor workout station.
Mill Ridge Park spans 622 acres and boasts paved and primitive trails, grassland meadows, and a playground with a five-story climbing tower. For those who love sports and socializing, check out the basketball courts, fitness equipment, and event lawn.

This puppy play park is conveniently located near the fairgrounds and GEODIS Park, receiving a 4 out of 5 bones on BringFido. The park is car-themed and boasts agility tires, benches to relax on, and artificial turf.
Bring your pup to the 6th Avenue side of Bridgestone Arena for some fun in the sun. The park features a double gate system for safety, as well as benches and a hydration station. Fun fact: Over 5,000 dogs live downtown, meaning Fido will likely make a few friends at this downtown spot.

Germantown’s Little Hats Market is expanding again, this time to Hillsboro Village — 2005 Belcourt Ave. Not many details are known at this time, so stay tuned for opening dates for this location and the Meridian Cool Springs outpost.
Development
A new Smyrna development broke ground this week at the corner of Sam Ridley Parkway and Highway 41. Once complete, the project called Stewart’s Landing will offer 75 townhomes, a 240-room hotel, two medical office buildings, and 250,000 sqft of retail. (WTVF)

Not only is Maggie Rogers playing Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, Oct. 12, the artist announced an intimate “Box Office Show” tomorrow, June 13 at Brooklyn Bowl. Tickets for both concerts will be available at Brooklyn Bowl’s box office at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

Heading downtown to celebrate the Fourth of July? Don’t forget about WeGo’s special event train, which will arrive at Riverfront Station at 5:30 p.m. and depart one hour after the fireworks show ends. Round trip tickets ($17) are on sale now.
