  • International Tea & Coffee Company moved down the street to the space last home to The Wild Cow — 1100 Fatherland St. In addition to the tea and coffee offerings you know and love, the biz now serves food. Check out the menus.
Closed
  • Bar Continental, a vinyl listening bar and lounge inside downtown’s Grand Hyatt, has closed. In a statement, chef Sean Brock said the team is “hopeful the concept can live on in a different way in the future.”
Traffic
  • Expect to see safety improvements at 15 school zones this summer. Some of the measures include roadway striping, updated signage, and flashing yellow lights. NDOT plans to update all school zones within the next three to five years. (WKRN)

  • Nashville Comicon returns this weekend, bringing all kinds of comics and pop culture to the Fairgrounds Nashville (Expos 1 and 2). Listen in on panel sessions, visit with special guests + shop art, collectibles, and merch from a variety of vendors. Tickets start at $18.

New Nashville sandwich concept wants to pump up the jams

Fait la Force is brewing up a new taproom concept with the team behind Cledis Burgers & Beer Garden. Beginning Wednesday, June 19, the Wedgewood-Houston brewery (1414 3rd Ave. S.) will be home to JamBox Sandwich Shop.

The menu features 10 sandwiches — each topped with a sweet or savory signature jam — named for a popular song, or “jam,” from the 80s and 90s. Here’s a sneak peek at two offerings:
  • Orange Crush | Chicken breast, pepper jack cheese, bacon, boom boom slaw, crispy wontons, and orange marmalade jam
  • Kool Moe Dee | Ham, white American cheese, bacon, fresh mint leaves, and apple butter jam
Break out your neon windbreakers + plan to get your sandwiches on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
