Nashville, break out your electric gold and acoustic blue — soccer is back.

From important dates to know to new features and fan experiences at GEODIS Park, gear up for all things match day before Nashville SC opens the 2024 season this weekend.

Key matches

  • Season opener | Sunday, Feb. 25 | Nashville welcomes the New York Red Bulls for a 4 p.m. kickoff. It’s dubbed the 615 Match + fans are encouraged to wear gold or arrive in the new 615 Kit.
  • Rivalry Week | May 11-18 | The team hosts Atlanta United FC on Saturday, May 18.
  • Leagues Cup | July 26-Aug. 25 | No regular season MLS matches will take place through Leagues Cup Semifinals.
  • Decision Day | Saturday, Oct. 19 | Nashville SC visits Chicago Fire FC to conclude the regular season. Prior to that, catch the team at home on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

What’s new at GEODIS Park

Seating | Sections 105 and 111 have been converted into new Seated Supporter sections. Bonus: Download the Nashville SC app to join in new interactive show elements from your seat.

Concessions | Taqueria Zepeda, Ben & Jerry’s, and Circle K Grab-N-Go locations are joining the concessions lineup, which also includes Chivanada, Prince’s Hot Chicken, and other local favorites.

Record lathe | Fun fact: The team’s fan-voted Man of the Match receives a vinyl record pressed in-stadium with the broadcast audio of their major highlights. See the process in action at its new station next to the DJ booth (section 104).

2024 Soundwaves Gallery | In theme with the new neighborhood patches, this season’s gallery is titled “Glory Music City” and features 66 works by 47 Middle Tennessee artists.

Get a refresher on match rituals, including the Guitar Riff played before kickoff, the Hero of the Match, and the official club anthem by Judah & the Lion.

  • Chicago-based Mediterranean restaurant Aba is expanding to Nashville — specifically Wedgewood-Houston — by late 2025. The eatery is known for dishes like ahi tuna carpaccio and char-grilled lamb chops + a drink menu “focused on Mediterranean regions.” (Nashville Business Journal)

  • AJ Capital Partners released new renderings for the proposed redevelopment of Belle Meade Plaza. The 10.5-acre site named “Belle Meade Village” would incorporate retail and residential, as well as new greenway connections. Look back at project details.

  • Ashwood 12 South announced four retail tenants, including Birkenstock, clothing shops Reformation and Roark, and jewelrey biz Burdlife. The mixed-use development at 2212 12th Ave. is slated to open in early 2025. (Nashville Business Journal)
Traffic
  • Neighborhoods seeking lower traffic speeds and safer street accommodations can apply to Metro’s traffic calming program beginning Friday, March 1. Neighborhoods will be considered based on factors like crash history and speeding. Applications close on Thursday, March 14.
Concert
  • Grammy Award-winning rock band Kings of Leon announced a new world tour, which includes a hometown show at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, Sept. 26. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 1.

  • Good news. Nashville Public Library’s Bellevue branch is expected to fully reopen following repairs on Monday, April 1. In the meantime, the branch will offer curbside service beginning Monday, March 11.
