Seasonal

Lipscomb University’s 19th annual Lighting of the Green takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The free outdoor event features performances by Amy Grant, Drew and Ellie Holcomb, and Corrina Gill, as well photos with Santa and the lighting of a Christmas tree — festivities begin at 4 p.m.

Maniac’s, a restaurant specializing in battered and broiled chicken tenders, is now open at Charlie’s Place on North Mt. Juliet Road. The eatery, which also has a Brentwood location, serves ~10 housemade sauces.

Tennessee State Museum + Tennessee Craft are teaming up for “Craft a New Year Workshop Series,” hosted on the first three Saturdays in January. Each introductory class (Choctaw beadwork, crocheting, and calligraphy) is a one-day, seven-hour course. Tickets go on sale today, Nov. 24.
