We can’t think of a better way to soak in Nashville’s greenspace than spending some time on the links. Whether you’re looking to connect outdoors with friends or you’re honing in on the perfect swing, here are 18 golf courses to make a tee time in and around Music City.

Nashville Golf & Athletic Club, 1703 Crockett Springs Trail, Brentwood | This 187-acre course’s par 3, 6th hole was recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the “Best 18 Golf Holes in America”
Vanderbilt Legends Club, 1500 Legends Club Ln., Franklin | Membership benefits include access to two championship courses designed by Hall of Fame golfer Tom Kite and acclaimed architect Bob Cupp, PGA-certified instruction and the Vanderbilt Legends Golf Academy, 363-day play a year, and more.
Richland Country Club, 1 Club Dr. | Builders found old bullet fragments from the Civil War while constructing the new clubhouse and course — tee markers are replicas of bullets used in the war and two replica Civil War cannons sit near holes 8 and 9. Membership is by invitation only.
Choose either the President’s Reserve or General’s Retreat course at the Hermitage Golf Course.
Percy Warner Golf Course, 1221 Forrest Park Dr. | Tree-lined fairways and small rolling greens will add a challenge to this 9-hole course. Bonus: Open play is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ted Rhodes Golf Course, 1901 Ed Temple Blvd. | Situated on the banks of the Cumberland River, this 18-hole course incorporates lakes and bunkers and is home to plenty of wildlife.
Hermitage Golf Course, 3939 Old Hickory Blvd., Old Hickory | The President’s Reserve course offers 7,200 yards of play as golfers wind through natural Tennessee wetlands. Enjoy golf instruction at the Hermitage Teaching Center and a FREEquent Player Club — receive a free round after every four full-priced rounds you play during a calendar year.

The Tennessee Titans signed kicker Michael Badgley, while also cutting Caleb Shudak + Trey Wolff. Badgley played briefly with the Titans in 2021, but was most recently a part of the Washington Commanders.

The Franklin Theatre released the final performances for its 2023 Songwriters Series, which lasts through December. Some headliners include Kristian Bush (Aug. 31), The Warren Brothers (Sept. 21), and Mae Estes, Marti Dodson + Autumn McEntire (Oct. 19). Get tickets.

The Nashville Film Festival announced its official opening night film for the 54th annual event. Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” documentary will screen on Thursday, Sept. 28 at Belcourt Theatre, and a Q+A will follow. Buy a VIP badge now.

The Nashville Ballet has moved into the top 25 of the Dance Data Project’s latest study of the “Largest US Ballet and Classically Based Companies.” Researchers looked at the largest 150 companies and ranked them based on their economic contribution.
History
A model train display of Mt. Juliet created by the late N.C. Hibbett — the city’s first mayor — is on showcase at Hibbett Hall in the community center. The model includes two train lines, a trolley track, and 75 buildings representing Mt. Juliet and West Wilson County before 1972. (The Tennessean)

Don’t think we didn’t notice that this new addition to Halls Chophouse came just in time for football season.
The restaurant — 1600 West End Ave. Ste. 101 — will host Saturday lunch service beginning Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The best part? Sportos can catch views from multiple TVs located at the front bar, Bill’s Bar, and on the covered patio.
Bonus: In addition to the regular menu (more on that below), guests can expect a three-course, $60 special — she-crab soup, Caesar salad, or simple greens salad starter + an 8 oz. filet mignon or blackened Scottish salmon second, finished with whiskey bread pudding.
