City Editor Skylar here. 👋 I have a story to share with y’all that will leave you feeling... well, unsettled.
An old friend of mine, we’ll call her Claire for sake of the story, was supposed to get married off of the Italian coast a few years back. I know, right? A real life fairytale. She was marrying into a wealthy and prestigious family. Her soon-to-be-husband and the life they had planned together was everything we both imagined for ourselves since we were little. Until reality hit, that is.
There were no “good vibes” in sight. The second Claire arrived, her wedding dress was mysteriously ruined, anonymous texts started rolling in, and skeletal remains were found. That’s when the power went out and the storm really started raging —
Interested in the ending? Try reading Her Dark Lies by local author J.T. Ellison. The story above is a glimpse into a fictional thriller surrounding a dream wedding that “no one will forget, and some won’t survive.”
Editor’s pick: If you’re anything like me, you’re just as excited for the Nashville Ballet’s new season as you are for the remainder of this one. If you’re looking to get your dance skills as en pointe as theirs, we suggest trying out the ballet’s adult dance classes.
