Luogo, a new Italian restaurant by Anthony Scotto, opens today in The Gulch — 211 12th Ave. S. The 6,800-sqft restaurant’s menu rotates seasonally + offers signature dishes like grilled margherita pizza, tagliolini with crab fra’ diavola, and lasagna with seasonal vegetables. Sprouts Farmers Market’s new South Nashville location — 5821 Nolensville Pk. — is set to open on Friday, Jan. 20. The company is hiring ~100 employees and will host two in-person hiring events on Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Wednesday, Dec. 7 (8 a.m.-6 p.m.) at Hilton Garden Inn Brentwood.
Chicago-based restaurant brands Buona and The Original Rainbow Cone plan to open dual-concept locations in the Nashville area — Nolensville, Franklin, Spring Hill, and Smyrna. The restaurants are slated to open in 2023 and include double lane drive-thrus. Stay tuned for exact locations. 🍦

Start the countdown. Jimmie Allen, Elle King, and “Entertainment Tonight” host Rachel Smith will host Nashville’s annual New Year’s Eve event. The five-hour broadcast on CBS will feature performances by Brooks & Dunn, Kelsea Ballerini, and Zac Brown Band, among others.

MNPS high schools will receive new sports fields — 13 football fields and two soccer fields — through a partnership with the Tennessee Titans and nonprofit The Fans Inc. Each school will receive $1 million toward adding new turf or improving athletic facilities. (The Tennessean)

Beep, beep, season’s greetings. Hallmark Channel is going all out for its annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming with sweater-wrapped car fleets around Nashville on Saturday, Nov. 19 + Sunday, Nov. 20. The fleet — created and installed by crochet artist London Kaye — will pop-up at the following locations this weekend:
