Music City never stops strumming, even when the temps dip below 50 degrees. Consider this your seasonal concert forecast — and it calls for major touring acts, hometown shows, and symphonic sounds throughout the city.

This is just a sampling of the hundreds of concerts, so be sure to check venue websites for more events.

Closing
  • The Grilled Cheeserie announced it will close its Hunters Station location in East Nashville on Mon., Oct. 31. The decision comes as the owners “have been given the opportunity to regain full control of [the] company.” The Hillsboro Village location and food truck will remain in operation.
Concert
  • So nice he’s playing twice. George Strait has added a second show at Nissan Stadium with Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town. The country legend will take over the venue on Fri., July 28, in addition to a show the following night. Tickets for both dates go on sale Fri., Nov. 4. 🎟️
Seasonal
  • Metro Parks is searching for a tree — a 30-40-ft Norway Spruce — to place at Public Square Park this holiday season. The department will cut down the tree, grind out the stump, and plant a replacement if desired. Have a tree that fits this description? Contact Randall Lantz at Metro Parks. (WTVF)

  • Stone Bridge Lofts broke ground this week in Goodlettsville at 619 N. Main St. As we previously reported, the project received ~$32 million from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund and will feature 311 “attainably-priced” apartments starting at $999 per month + 11,200 sqft of commercial and retail space. 🏗️

  • Alan Jackson will receive the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. Jackson will accept the honor during the 56th Annual CMA Awards — broadcasting live from Bridgestone Arena on Wed., Nov. 9. The most recent recipients include Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride. (Billboard)

  • The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has named Hal Cato as its new CEO effective Mon., Nov. 14. Cato previously served as the CEO of Nashville’s Thistle Farms Inc. and will succeed Ellen Lehman, who announced her retirement earlier this year. (The Tennessean)

Underground bar Pushing Daisies coming to Nashville’s Fifth + Broadway

James Beard-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox plans to open Pushing Daisieshis first bar and third overall concept at Fifth + Broadway — on Thurs., Nov. 17. The speakeasy-style bar will be underground below Blanco Cocina + Cantina and specialize in margarita-focused cocktails.

Y’all were really excited when we dished on Pushing Daisies earlier this year, so here’s a sneak peek at three cocktails on the menu:
  • Mucho Matcha | 400 canejos mezcal, matcha, yuzu sour, egg white, and bamboo leaf
  • ¡Vamanos! | Reposado tequila, Borghetti espresso liqueur, Spanish vanilla, and cinnamon spiced cold brew
  • Devil’s VICE | Jalapeno-soaked blanco tequila, smashed strawberry, clementine, blistered shishito, and finishing salt
