Nashville’s first-ever PBR team endured a rocky start and end to the regular season. The No. 8 ranked Nashville Stampede finished the regular season 7-20-1, making them last in the league standingsbut their comeback story doesn’t end there.

The eight-team PBR World Championship at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena kicked off this past weekend, and the team grabbed the bull by the horns and lassoed the title of PBR Team Series Champions.

The Stampede began the ride to victory Friday evening, defeating the No. 3 Oklahoma Freedom + continued the momentum into Round 2, beating the No. 1 Austin Gamblers by a one ride score (265-175.25) and earning the first direct berth to the semifinals.

The team rode into the semifinal showdown on Sunday facing the No. 2 Texas Rattlers. Joao Henrique Lucas notched an early score and a 90-point, fifth-frame ride from Pacheco sealed the deal. The Stampede went on to stomp the No. 5 Arizona Ridge Riders 264-182.75 in the championship game.
