Show your Nashville Public Library branch some love during National Library Week

National Library Week began Sunday, April 7, but before you turn the page, here’s a look at our local must-do event picks with NPL.

Multiple wooden desks are lined up in a room with small lamps on the tables and chandelier lighting.

In case you missed a chapter, it’s National Library Week. Though local events kicked off on Tuesday, there’s a lot to flip through on April 10 for Library Outreach Day.

NPL is focused on highlighting ways to bring library service to the community by hosting over three dozen events on Wednesday that are open to the public. Here are a few we would bookmark:

  • Bass Learning Center, 5200 Delaware Ave. | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. | Spring college and career fair
  • Church Street Park, 600 Church St. | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Library in the Park with watercolor painting, button-making, and library card sign ups
  • Mill Ridge Park, 12924 Old Hickory Blvd. | 2-4 p.m. | Library card sign ups, storytime, and crafts

Plus, don’t miss Take Action for Libraries Day on Thursday by joining the NPL Thank-a-Thon.
