In case you missed a chapter, it’s National Library Week. Though local events kicked off on Tuesday, there’s a lot to flip through on April 10 for Library Outreach Day.
NPL is focused on highlighting ways to bring library service to the community by hosting over three dozen events on Wednesday that are open to the public. Here are a few we would bookmark:
- Bass Learning Center, 5200 Delaware Ave. | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. | Spring college and career fair
- Church Street Park, 600 Church St. | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Library in the Park with watercolor painting, button-making, and library card sign ups
- Mill Ridge Park, 12924 Old Hickory Blvd. | 2-4 p.m. | Library card sign ups, storytime, and crafts
Plus, don’t miss Take Action for Libraries Day on Thursday by joining the NPL Thank-a-Thon.
