Table of Contents

Are you ready to Tomat-O-Ramaaaa? No, but really, there’s a contest at stake. We won’t get into the heated debate of fruit or vegetable — though, we’re team veggie — we’re just here to tell you the juicy details on this festival celebrating the tomato.

🍅 Rama ‘round

  • Drink: Bloody marys, bloody marias, and more themed sips (plus, pair it with some bites from the food trucks)
  • Listen: Live music by Latin salsa band Giovanni Rodriguez and friends
  • Do: Shop produce vendors offering 20+ tomato varieties, make tomato-themed crafts, and snap pictures at the photo booth trailer. The kiddos will want to stop by the kids zone + get their faces painted.

🍅 Ketchup to the competition

You got that ripe. Your homemade salsa or pico de gallo dish could win you a $25 gift card to El Burrito Mexicano. Fill out the entry form by Thursday, July 13 and then bring two cups of your creation (plus a recipe card, your name, and phone number) to the commissary kitchen between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m. on the festival date. Pro tip: Judges will pick a winner based on appearance, texture, and flavor.
